HTC One India launch slated for April, exact release date unclear

The HTC One is all set to take its first steps into India in April after making waves with the announcement of its launch in the US and the UK. The handset has long been talked about ever since details pertaining to its display and interface were leaked last year.

The device will be treating its owners to a number of mouthwatering features. Though the rear lens is shown to possess just a 4MP count, the company asserts that it has adopted the Ultra-pixel technology. This reportedly allows the sensor to capture more light, thus filtering out noise and becoming an option for dimly-lit ambiances. Owing to the technology employed, the snapper can click around 20 pictures in burst mode once the camera button is hit. Not stopping there, the manufacture has also incorporated a 2.1MP front-facing shooter that allows full HD recording.

Going all out, the maker has introduced optimizations to its Sense interface as well. BlinkFeed brings out updates from different apps onto the home screen itself. Working in conjunction with the camera, Zoe livens up the gallery by displaying the pictures in motion. BoomSound presents a built-in amplifier and the maker has flanked the front panel with a speaker on either side. This attribute decreases the sound distortion in music and videos.

Another point that has been a topic of discussion is the integration of a 1.7GHz quad core Snapdragon 600 processor which should take care of delivering smooth multitasking, especially since it will be in cahoots with 2GB of RAM. Adding to that, the manufacturer has incorporated the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean platform giving users a complete high performance smartphone. A battery with capacity of 2300mAh undertakes the responsibility of keeping the phone alive between charges. All the aforementioned attributes have been stuffed into a body that measures 137.4mm x 68.2mm x 9.3mm and weighs just a little over 140 grams.
