The HTC Leo, now known as the HD2 was in news for several reasons recently. Now, Engadget reports that the HTC HD2 has made an appearance in O2 UK catalog.

Reportedly, the HTC smartphone was expected to hit the stores in the UK on October 12. However, rumor mills claim that the smartphone will arrive around October 26, 2009. Further, the O2 ad shows the HTC HD2 with Windows Mobile 6.5 UI rather than the TouchFLO 3D interface.

Apparently, the HTC device is built with a 4.3-inch capacitance touchscreen display. The smartphone is driven by 1Ghz Snapdragon chipset and 512MB RAM. It is also speculated to offer a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with dual LED flash. The handset is inclusive of a 1230mAh battery and measures around 121mm x 67mm x 11mm.

The smartphone may support Quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity and dual-band HSDPA connectivity (900/2100 MHz). It also packages Wi-Fi, GPS and A-GPS functionalities. Further, it is said to offer an accelerometer with light and proximity sensors along with a 3.5mm headset jack.
