HTC Flyer UK successor in the offing

HTC Tablet

If the latest buzz doing rounds on the web is to be believed, then the HTC Flyer tablet may soon have a successor in the UK. Though the Taiwan-based company is known for its smartphones more than anything else, it’s not that we’ve not come across a slate from these quarters.

The upcoming tablet has no precise launch date attached to it since it’s obviously too early to welcome any news on this front. Nevertheless, there is still plenty of room for guesswork. Considering that Jelly Bean has already touched down, we could look for Android 4.1 in the upcoming slab.

According to a post on PC Advisor who dug up the news via an HTC spokesperson, a new tablet will drop anchor in the UK. If this happens, then it would apparently be the first HTC tab to retail in the country after May last year.

As per the stories running amok on the internet, the company is planning to offer something out of the box this time. This seems justifiable, given the ever expanding slate market with new features and operating systems landing each time.

Talking about tablets, the stars of the moment are the Nexus 7 and the Microsoft Surface. The HTC Flyer which launched some time ago could not get its fair share of attention in the beginning possibly due to its high price tag. Presently, the slab is shipping for approximately £200 in the UK.

Let’s wait and watch for the new HTC tablet price, specifications and release date details.
