Considering the HTC Evo 3D was built to particularly meet the needs of media enthusiasts, the fact that it didn’t come with a kickstand was pretty much of a downer. SprintFeed reveals to now have got word that the official Evo 3D dock dubbed ‘Video Dock’ will hit shelves this August.
This tidbit should put a smile on the face of those who’ve been waiting to accessorize their HTC 3D phone for long. Not everyone fancies having their device lying flat on the desk or palm while watching 3D content after all. Specifically, this new dock has been tailored by HTC for Evo 3D users.
Well, those wondering what the entire hullabaloo is about, the handset’s 4.3” qHD 3D screen with pinch to zoom was precisely fashioned for entertainment buffs. So having to make do without a kickstand or dock that holds the device upright hasn’t really gone down well with most users. Not to forget, Sprint and HTC were pretty much screaming about the 3D niceties users would be enjoying with this phone. Jogging down memory lane and we remember Best Buy too having the dock in their ‘Coming Soon’ list nearly a month ago. However, there really appeared to be nothing to it more than that.
The goodies, it appears doesn’t stop at just this. There’s an official Holster and Shield Combo for $25 that will be coming around the same time. And in about two days time, Sprint too will be joining the brigade by selling official phone covers for approximately $20.
The Video Dock for the HTC Evo 3D phone will be available for purchase on August 21, 2011.It will reportedly put users down by $50.
