HTC Desire 500 to go up for sale in Taiwan for NT$11,900, release date is August 1

The HTC Desire 500 quad core device has shown up on the official web portal of the Taiwanese manufacturer and is slated to be available in the home country for NT$11,900. We have learnt that the HTC device will be up for grabs exclusively through Taiwan Mobile from early next month.

The phone seems to pack in a punch in its form factor measuring 131.8 x 66.9 x 9.9 millimeters in the form of a four core processor. This Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset can clock in a maximum speed of 1.2GHz and has an entire gigabyte of RAM for company. Its front side is graced by a 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen as well as a 1.6MP webcam, while the rear panel plays host to an 8MP snapper complete with a BSI sensor, ImageChip, auto focus, LED flash and more.

Its total internal memory amounts to 4GB which can be expanded further with the help of a microSD card of not more than 64GB capacity. The HTC Desire 500 runs Android Jelly Bean garnished with Sense 5 and doesn’t fail to tag along the latest BlinkFeed feature. Furthermore, the Beats Audio-enabled handset draws power from a 1800mAh battery which can cough up talk time and standby time of approximately 17.8 hours and 401 hours, respectively in the GSM mode.

The guys over at GSMArena got their hands on the price details of the Desire 500 that is apparently releasing on August 1 in Taiwan.
