Famous online gaming brand Candystand.com, in association with Harlem Globetrotters has launched the mobile version of its popular game Spin That Ball! for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
This game is apparently the first iPhone game that is solely team-branded. The game features Globetrotters Showman Special K Daley, and players need to control their finger in order to balance and spin the team’s well-known red, white and blue ball for as long as possible. Originally designed by Candystand.com, the game has been modified to match with the iPhone with touch and tilt screen capabilities.
“We’ve seen a huge interest in the Harlem Globetrotters online games that launched in February. The Harlem Globetrotters specialize in fun family entertainment on the basketball court, which is exactly what we strive to do with our branded online and mobile games. It’s always been a very natural partnership,” mentioned Scott Tannen, President of Funtank LLC, owners of Candystand.com.
“I have always loved being a global ambassador, and I’m excited to now have the chance to be a mobile ambassador too. Spinning the basketball on your finger is an essential skill for becoming a Globetrotter, and one of our trademarks. It was my first test at my first training camp, and I can’t wait for fans to get to put in as much practice time on that trick as we do,” stated Special K Daley of Globetrotters.

The mobile game can be purchased from the iTunes store for $0.99.
