The Google+ SMS feature will now be introduced in more than 41 countries strewn across the globe. When this social networking service was unveiled back in June last year, the SMS facility was only extended towards 2 nations namely, India and the US. With its popularity on the rise, the company has planned to roll out this asset in additional places for more people to stay in touch with loved ones.

This particular attribute comes in handy especially when social butterflies are far from an Internet connection or Wi-Fi zone and still want to share their experiences with friends and family. This latest inclusion enables all handset and tablet owners to post their updates to Google+ through the simple method of an SMS. In turn, they can also receive notifications as well as aptly reply to them, all via SMS.

“Google+ helps you share the right things with the right people when you are online, but how about when you are not connected to the Internet? A team of motivated engineers in India realized the importance of connecting you with the right people on Google+ – regardless of where you are or what kind of device you’re on – and we’ve introduced Google+ SMS features as a result,” revealed a post on the official Google India blogspot.
