HTC’s Google Nexus 9 tablet gearing up for an October 15 unveiling, priced at $399

A new report is stating that the Google Nexus 9 tablet will be jointly launched by Mountain View and manufacturer HTC on October 15, which is just one day prior to the big Apple event that’s apparently poised to see the launch of new iPad models. The 9-inch surprise from Google is sort of a taunt aimed at Apple which has been selling tablets of the same size since quite a long time.

Aside from the increase in the display size, the new Nexus tablet supposedly will also see a rise in its price. While pure Android products from Google are known to have low price tags, the company will be straying from that route it seems, as this new slate is expected to cost somewhere around $399.

This set of details comes through The Bright Side of News which has cited its sources to have revealed that the Google Nexus 9 will for the first time be targeted towards a broader audience. It will hence apparently be sold via channels other than the Google Play store.

We’ve found out in the past that this tablet made by HTC will house inside it an Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset. Its high-resolution 9-inch display will be one of its main highlights and so will its Android L OS.

It is being said that after the unveiling of the Google Nexus 9 tablet on October 15, its pre-orders will begin on that date itself. And it will be released later on, come November 3. That image you’re seeing the space above was leaked by the UPLeaks Twitter account recently.
