Google Nexus 5, Nexus 7 available now in India through the Play store

Now, there’s absolutely no need to pay that extra Rs 1000 for the Google Nexus 5. The search engine giant has finally started shipping the gadget along with Nexus 7 that appeared on the Play store a while ago. Both devices are available in memory configurations of 16GB and 32GB.

The LG phone can be picked up in shades of black and white, while the 32GB tablet comes in Wi-Fi-only and LTE unlocked variants. Interested users will have to shell out Rs 29,000 for the Nexus 5 with 16GB capacity and Rs 33,000 for the other one. For the 16GB Wi-Fi tablet, they are required to fork out Rs 21,000. For the 32GB one, the manufacturer asks them to part with either Rs 24,000 (Wi-Fi-only) or Rs 28,000 (LTE unlocked).

Let’s take a quick look at their specifications. First up is the Nexus 5, an Android KitKat 4.4-based smartphone complete with a 2.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. It is graced by a 4.95-inch IPS full HD touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, an 8MP camera with flash and auto focus and a 1.3MP webcam.

Coming to the Nexus 7, it shows off a 7.02-inch 1920 x 1200p IPS touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass. A 5MP camera has been fitted on the rear panel, while the screen is accompanied by a 1.2MP snapper on the front. This Jelly Bean 4.3-powered gadget draws power from a 3,950mAh battery and employs a 1.5GHz quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor as well as 2GB of RAM.

The Google Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7 will be dispatched to interested customers within 1 or 2 days of placing the order.
