Google Nexus 5 hits LG India stores, 16GB phone costs Rs 29,999

Although it was Google who had announced the Nexus 5’s arrival in India by putting it up on the Play Store, LG is the one who has officially started selling the device in the country. But if you cannot wait for the smartphone to be made available through the Google store, you will have to shell out Rs 1000 more for the device as LG retail channels are selling the 16GB version for Rs 29,999.

None of the companies have gone on record to reveal this bit of information and it is the guys over at IBNLive who got in touch with a Noida-based LG authorized store where the 16GB Nexus 5 is available in white and black shades. Another retail store in Mumbai has disclosed that the 32GB model will either arrive in the country at the end of this month or early next month. Again, it will be up for grabs for Rs 34,000 instead of the official price of Rs 33,000.

The much-anticipated smartphone rocks the latest Android platform, KitKat 4.4 and flaunts a 4.95-inch full HD touch display on its front side. A layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top is what saves it from unwanted scrapes and scratches. The phone’s rear side sports an 8MP camera and the front plays host to a 1.3MP snapper.
