A multitude of functional updates are being rolled out almost every other day to enhance web accessibility for smartphones. To ensure feature phones are not left behind, Google recently revealed that it has updated Google News for handsets running Opera Mini.

According to a post on the official Google Mobile blog, this upgraded version will proffer a wide variety of enhancements. It is designed to work in all 29 languages and 70 editions of Google News. The development will feature an improved homepage, better news snippets and clear thumbnail pictures.

Additionally, it also includes links to section content or videos that are comfortably spaced for easy accessibility as well as a handy search bar to enter the desired text when browsing. Users can even choose to seamlessly synchronize the service with their desktop version.

The latest update of Google News is available to all versions of Opera Mini employed on most feature handsets.
