With the summer heat reaching its peak, the DLF Indian Premier League has further set the temperatures soaring for hordes of cricket fans out there. Adding to the excitement, Loop Mobile has announced the launch of Mobile TV for subscribers. The company will also be partnering Mumbai Indians as their ‘Official Mobile Network’ for the next three years.
The service provider will offer its customers exclusive content like the Mumbai Indians anthem ‘Ala Re’ download as ringtones or caller tunes as well as other match trivia and wallpapers. Users may also participate in various contests to win free tickets for matches held at Wankhede, autographed bats or the chance to meet with Mumbai Indians members.
“Our subscribers can now watch their favourite TV channels on their Loop Mobile phone. We are a Mumbai specialist and our association with Mumbai Indians carries forward our Mumbai connect by making the brand emotionally engaging for our subscribers. It has been our continuous endeavour to create unique products suiting various subscriber groups in Mumbai,” commented Surya Mahadevan, Chief Operating Officer, Loop Mobile.
“Through Mumbai Indians, Loop Mobile will provide its VAS offerings and specially developed content, trivia and contests, exclusively for subscribers thus giving us a competitive edge and enabling subscribers to connect with their favourite team. Prepaid subscribers can also recharge with 86 and get free Loop Mobile local calls,” continued Mahadevan.
As part of its Mobile TV service, the company will showcase IPL matches via a special T-20 Cricket Pack priced at Rs. 5 per day. The other TV plans made available are News Pack that features news channels and Entertainment Pack which includes movie and music feeds. The GSM operator has also released ‘Bol Mumbai Bol’, a voice plan that apparently enables users to recharge with Rs. 86 vouchers and enjoy free calls between Loop Mobile numbers.
The marketing heads at Loop Mobile have obviously been planning their timing just right as the IPL season progresses with all this fervor backing it.
