Google Mobile Application with Search by Voice and My Location for BlackBerry

Google Mobile Application and BlackBerry logo Google has announced a new version of its Google Mobile Search application for the BlackBerry users with two new features namely Search by Voice and My Location.

The Search by Voice feature enables users to search data using voice commands. To activate it you simply need to press and hold the green call button on the main screen of the application. Another new feature by Google is My Location, users can enter their search term and the application returns a list of closest possible match. For example if you enter Pizza Hut, the feature will return a list of pizza huts closest to your location.

Google’s voice search feature will help users to spell difficult words and also supports British English. Well, the new application is available for all Blackberry devices except Blackberry Storm.

“About the Voice Search, Zanolin Google Mobile App engineer says that, “Now on your vacation, you could have sworn your friend said to meet in ‘Lester Square’. Unfortunately, ‘Lester Square’ is nowhere to be found on the Tube Map. A quick voice search on Google Mobile App (just press and hold the green button) for ‘Lester Square’ reveals the true spelling. Leicester Square is actually only two stops away on the Picadilly Line. Problem solved!”

The BlackBerry users can download the Google Mobile Search application with the two new features for free from Google Mobile website.
