Google+ makes its debut on the iPhone

Google+ For iPhoneThe latest social networking site, Google+ recently arrived for the iPhone. The app makes sharing content with friends much easier via this device. Since this is the first version, various features and components will be added or updated soon.

Through the site’s Huddle feature, users can send messages instantly to everyone in their Circles. The latter is a facility which lets users divide family, friends and acquaintances into different groups in the shape of circles. Google Plus was already available for Android phone users since its launch and now it has been made available for the iOS platform as well.

The new app claims to provide optimum support for attaching pictures to a post and blocking unwanted messages in Huddle. It also incorporates varied bug fixes and performance enhancements. Users can view Google+ messages from their friends who are nearby to where they are, immediately. It thus notifies them about which of their friends are in the vicinity.

The Stream feature enables users to receive updates from their Circles. Regardless of where the user is, this app allows them to stay connected with whatever their friends are sharing or where they are checking via the Stream.

The app for the iOS and Android platforms seem to be quite similar except for the instant upload feature which the latter possesses. Instant upload automatically uploads pictures and videos to users Google+ album in the cloud. Also the iPhone version of the app doesn’t yet provide support for iOS 5.

Users of the iPhone can now download Google+ for free from the App Store.
