Gionee Elife E7 Mini released for Rs 19500 in India

The Gionee Elife E7 Mini flush with a 13MP camera and octa core processing power, had come to India for a price of Rs 19500 through an online retailer and now the tag has been dropped to Rs 18994 already. The Chinese company behind the smartphone has yet to make an official announcement regarding its market launch even though we saw it in the country in December 2013.

There are several point of difference between the Gionee Elife E7 Mini and its bigger cousin. The smaller handset has a 4.7-inch display are opposed to a 5.5-inch one. It also sports dual SIM card slots. But it’s the camera and processor which really set these two devices apart.

The Gionee mini phone has a 1.7GHz octa core chipset from MediaTek, while it’s more expensive counterpart runs on a 2.2GHZ quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC. But eight cores does not necessarily make the former better than the latter, as the Indian variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5 proves.

Another thing about the 4.7-inch handset is its single lens of 13MP resolution which can be used as the back camera or the front one thanks to its smoothly swinging swivel mechanism. The Elife E7, on the other hand, is outfitted with 16MP and 8MP snappers.
