The Raku-Raku phone series seems to have become quite popular amongst senior citizens across Japan. Extending its product range, Fujitsu lately announced the upcoming availability of its latest mobile phone dubbed Raku-Raku Basic 3 on NTT DoCoMo’s network, beginning April 22.

The new handset integrates a special instructions button, which enables users to connect to an expert support center to solve all their device related queries. This flap phone weighs 101g and exhibits 107mm × 51mm × 15.7mm dimensions when closed. It encompasses a 2.8″ QVGA display and comes dipped in gold, navy, and pink hues.

To keep family and friends constantly updated about user’s recent activities, it provides a notification service that automatically sends out relevant information to approximately five designated people. It jackets a 5.1MP camera equipped with photography support features such as smile detector, automatic scene recognition and tracking focus.

The phone includes a built-in ‘Raku-Raku Site Button’ for instantly accessing the Raku-Raku i-menu in large font. It packs in a voice balance feature that accentuates high-pitched portions of the sound of the opposite person’s voice to heighten the overall listening experience. The device also proffers a Deco-mail option to embellish the usually monotonous e-mails.

The company has not divulged the official pricing details of the Raku-Raku Basic 3 yet.
