Four new Pioneer audio video receivers unleashed

Pioneer’s 2012 list of gadgets boasts of up to four new audio video receivers, namely the VSX-522, VSX-822, VSX-1022 and VSX-1122. Compatible with the iPhone as well as the iPad, all four releases can be used as home entertainment options by music buffs.

The design of each of these receivers has provisions for a USB port on the front panel. Integrated with the Apple AirPlay technology, customers can also utilize the VSX-822, VSX-1022 and VSX-1122 to stream music through their iTunes libraries. Except for the VSX-522, the other three devices have been embedded with vTuner Internet radio. This enables access to Internet radio stations from all around the world.

“Portable devices like smartphones and tablets are now primary sources for audio and video entertainment so it’s extremely important that consumers can easily incorporate them with our receivers,” conveyed Chris Walker, director AV marketing and product planning for the home entertainment division of Pioneer Electronics, USA. “The new line of Pioneer receivers are the ideal home theater products for today’s consumers.”

If paired with the ControlApp or the iControlAV2012 app, the new range of devices can be directed with the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Leaving out the VSX-522, the entire line-up is DLNA 1.5 certified. Because of this, customers may stream music from iDevices over an Ethernet connection. A WiFi adapter for the VSX-1122 can even be opted for to execute the said function.

The Pioneer VSX-522, VSX-822, VSX-1022 and VSX-1122 audio video receivers’ prices have already been announced by the company. The devices can be grabbed for $249, $379, $449 and $599, respectively. Of these, the first three can now be purchased through the Pioneer website.
