Here’s an interesting application for the iPhone. Fandango has revealed a new iPhone application that provides theater and movie information while on the go. With the new application users will be able to make their plans on the spot and enjoy watching movies at the nearest theater.
Movie fans will surely find the application very interesting and useful as it also allows them to buy movie tickets within seconds. Users can search for any movie from a list of ‘In Theaters’ or ‘Coming Soon’. Moreover, the application lets users watch trailers, read synopses and can even view fan ratings that can help them to decide on a movie.
The Fandango application enables users to buy tickets for more than 16, 000 screens in US. Users can buy tickets by simply selecting the desired date, time and ticket quantity.
“We are always seeking ways to make the movie going experience more convenient for fans,” comments Ted Hong, Fandango’s chief marketing officer. “Each of the steps involved in making a great movie night – from choosing a film to finding a nearby theater to securing your tickets – can now be done quickly and easily from your iPhone or iPod touch without ever leaving the application or risking a sold out sign at the theater. That’s the ultimate in convenience for moviegoers.”
Taking complete advantage of the location-based features of the iPhone, the application also allows users to browse for local theaters and add theaters to a favorite list which ensures faster searching. Movie fans will also get to watch an exclusive clip from EARTH, the first motion picture from the film Disneynature.
The Fandango application is available at the Apple Store for free.
