Facebook unveiling a phone of its own?

Facebook Until Nexus One hit the market, Google was in a state of denial regarding a handset of its own. The same applied to Apple prior to its iPhone release. Wondering why we are talking about things of the past? Well, apparently we heard that Facebook too was planning on launching a phone of its own. In fact this rumor has created such uproar in the mobile terrain, especially when Facebook added fuel to this by reverting.

Initially, TechCrunch reported that Facebook was apparently gearing up to unveil a handset. Further it added that the SNS was building the software while closely working with a manufacturer for the hardware. However, Jaime Schopflin a spokesperson representing Facebook was quick to push aside these claims as false talks. The SNS reverted to several sites including Mashable stating that they were currently working on projects like complete Connect support with apps and SDKs for major platforms and a HTML5 version of the site.

Moreover, there is word fluttering around the web world that an anonymous source has reverted saying Facebook would use an Android OS for the handset. Well, with so many rumors coming in from everywhere who knows what the truth is. We are sure that this tassel of words is not ending here, so we’ll keep our eyes and ears open to understand which side has a truer story.
