The last time we heard from Evernote, the company had acquired Skitch and now it’s the Evernote for iOS update that has our attention. From sprucing up the way text is handled to making checkboxes and sharing, the application now offers more including the iOS 5 support.
Remember the last iOS update that lent a helping hand to editing of rich text notes? Well, this latest upgrade adds to the earlier functionality. Simplified text means users trying their hand at editing a complex note can breathe easy. While preserving most elements and eliminating others in the note, the function has now been improved to keep it as simple and close to the original content as possible.
Users employing the Evernote application for iOS can also look forward to efficient handling of font. The tool continues to show default font settings, allowing iOS edited content to be displayed minus any glitch on the desktop. In addition to this, encrypted elements are also going to be visible in-line here on.
Specially for premium users, Andrew Sinkov in the official blog post shares “If you’re a Premium user, then you can grant others editing rights to your notebooks—even if they aren’t Premium. Now, you can add your thoughts to someone’s notes even when you’re away from your desk. Simply open the shared notebook from your iOS device and edit an existing note or create a new one. Once the note syncs, everyone else that has access to that note will see the changes.”
Supporting iOS 5, Evernote will soon be adding a plethora of new functionality. Also checkboxes can now be created straight from the iPhone or iPad. Users can effortlessly make to-do list or just hit up the checkbox option in their note editor.
Even as this Evernote for iOS may sound like a handful, the company says users can expect more big improvements in the coming days.
