ESPN and StubHub to offer Mobile Ticketing

StubHub Logo Fans can now buy tickets on their smartphones, putting an end to the long wait in queues. ESPN and StubHub have joined hands to bring in the new ticketing solution. The StubHub Mobile Ticketing Center is accessible via the ESPN ScoreCenter App and the ESPN Mobile Web.

Users can check out a team schedule, a forthcoming game preview or follow a game through ESPN’s GameCast. Concurrently, they may also check out StubHub ticket prices and inventory in real time without having to quit the ESPN settings.

“Mobile devices are offering more utility than ever before,” asserts John Zehr, senior vice president and GM of Mobile at ESPN. “We have a great relationship with StubHub, so it made sense to extend the service to mobile given our massive growth in unique users over the past year or two. Collaborations like this one between ESPN and StubHub maximize the utility and the convenience of a mobile phone, which ultimately benefits the fan and improves our ability to serve them, conveniently and securely.”

ESPN’s mobile properties have various links, which will guide fans directly to the StubHub Ticket Center for buying tickets. At the center, tickets can be filtered according to price and quantity. After the filtering, customers are routed to StubHub’s mobile checkout. Users can complete the transaction by entering either their Credit Card or PayPal account information or through their stored StubHub account.
