Electric Pocket MailTones for iPhone released

Electric Pocket MailTones iPhone users can now change their boring email alert tones with Electric Pocket’s new release entitled MailTones. It lets users set new email tones for friends, colleagues, family members and high priority people. The new MailTones allow users to organize their important mails from friends and family members. These tones allow users to prioritize their mails coming from their bosses or spouses and other senders.

MailTones allow iPhone users to recognize incoming mails coming from different senders by setting tones for specific users or domains. MailTones can filter messages that have certain words in the Subject line and offer custom tones to messages.

“MailTones offers a fun customization for iPhone email, as well as reducing distractions in our already busy days” said Iain Barclay, Electric Pocket’s Chief Product Officer. “By setting distinctive alerts to messages that matter, MailTones clues you in as to whether you need to interrupt your lunch conversation to with an incoming email or if it can wait until later.”

MailTones offer around 25 tones that include sound of different bells, horns and buzzers. MailTones also allows users to set default tone to silent and even ignore. iPhone users can receive optional alerts on their screens along with the sender information and title of all incoming emails. These alerts enable users to decide whether to open the Mail App to read the incoming message or not.

MailTones come with an easy set up process from Gmail, MobileMe and servers that feature “forward a copy” forwarding of an email. It is available for download at the Apple App Store for $2.99.
