eBuddy application comes to Apple App Store

eBuddy iPhone Application eBuddy – an application that was first launched on the Android platform last year, has recently announced an iPhone application. According to TechCrunch, eBuddy allows users to communicate with others using AIM, Facebook Chat, ICQ, Gtalk, Windows Live Messenger, etc. in one cumulative interface.

It has already been a week since the launch of this App for the iPhone. However, it has not been promoted until now. This application will offer stiff competition to Nimbuzz and fring iPhone applications. The differentiating factor for eBuddy is that it offers support for Apple’s Push Notification Service through which a third-party server can ping the service in order to push out notifications to users’ iPhones over a continual IP connection.

On exiting the application, users will still be able to receive incoming messages from their contacts. With the exception of Skype, it does not matter which IM client users prefer to use. They will continue receiving messages for 30 minutes as of now. Later on, the company will prolong the time period of this push notification.

This application is available for free at the Apple App Store.
