Easy Energy releases a new accessory called the YoGen that charges mobile phones. The innovative YoGen claims to be the world’s first fully-sustainable, handheld charging device to charge electronic devices, anywhere anytime.

With repeated pulls of the attached ripcord, like the motion of a yo-yo, the small device can connect and charge many personal electronic devices. It produces enough power to charge several mobile phones and PDAs.

“Mobile electronics have become a part of who and what we are today and how we live our lives,” says YoGen CEO Guy Ofir. “One of the most frustrating things we face is when a dead battery shuts down our technology. With the new YoGen universal charger, this problem is now a thing of the past.”

The YoGen functions exclusively with “green” human powered energy, perfect for enthusiastic travelers. The patent pending technology activates and internal alternator that charges an exhausted electronic device within few minutes through a charge/time ratio similar to standard wall chargers. The YoGen weighs around 98grams that easily fits in one’s palm.

“With a YoGen in your travel bag, backpack, briefcase or in the glove compartment of your car, you are never out of touch,” Ofir says. “Just a few pulls on the ripcord is enough to keep you connected, especially in an emergency.”

The new YoGen is an ideal accessory for several mobile devices. Every YoGen unit comes with an array of adaptor tips that allow optimal usage of the YoGen charger.

The miniscule YoGen is aimed for worldwide retail distribution in the second quarter of 2010. For this holiday season, the YoGen is available online for $39 at the official website of YoGen.
