Dual SIM Nokia 114 with Urdu language support lands in India for Rs 2,579

Nokia has done a lot to show its continuing presence in the feature phone segment and even with its device business being purchased by Microsoft, it hasn’t stopped showing the category some love. The latest addition is the dual SIM Nokia 114 which is the first to come with support for Urdu language. The device has launched in India for an MRP of Rs 2,579.

The country is said to have one of the largest Urdu speaking population and the Nokia 114 will allow them to interact with each other in this language. The phone will also support other speeches such as Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Bengali, Oriya, Assamese, Punjabi and Marathi. For those who aren’t aware, the Nokia 114 was already available in the country since January this year. This version is merely an upgrade with the new language support.

The company also made the 114 internet-ready and preloaded it with the Nokia Xpress browser which compresses data by up to 90% in the cloud. The device features a long battery life of up to 10 hour of talktime or a month’s worth of standby. There’s even the Easy Swap technology onboard which allows you to switch SIM cards without powering off the phone. Other features of the phone include a 1.8-inch display and a rear camera of 640 x 480 pixels. The device measures 110mm x 46mm x 13.8mm in dimensions and it weighs 80 grams.

The company has made the Nokia 114 with Urdu support available for Rs. 2,579, while the normal version is priced a little lower, at Rs 2,345.
