Facebook Groups gets Dropbox integration

Social butterflies can now share Dropbox content with their Facebook Groups, courtesy of an amicable partnership between the storage utility and the SNS. This means users can share all forms of data such as videos, notes and other plans with groups such as family, workplace, home and others through their mobile devices and PCs.

Similar to posts that are displayed in Facebook Groups, information that is shared through Dropbox is open to comments and likes. If the file that is posted is edited in any way, the concerned update is sent to people in the group. To post content from the storage service to the Facebook Groups page, all one has to do in tap on the ‘Add File’ button.

“Today we’re psyched to announce that you can share stuff from Dropbox right inside Facebook Groups! Now you can share notes with your study group, add the latest game schedule to your basketball team’s group, or post a birthday video to your family’s group at lightning speed from wherever you are,” states a post on the official Dropbox blog.

Social Networking Website

Once the social networking website and the storage app are linked, users can scroll through the latter completely to select stuff to be shared. Documents, pictures and clips that are shared from the application will be displayed on the Group’s wall and can be perused on the web as well as a tablet or a smartphone.

Needless to say, this Facebook-Dropbox team-up is sure to spread some more fun across different social networking groups.
