Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ price goes official along with a late October release date

The Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ price details have surface, while the company has scheduled its release date for late October. The tablet comes with a 9-inch HD display that proffers a resolution of 1920 x 1280p and a pixel density of 256ppi.

That’s not all; the touch panel comes fully laminated to reduce glares while viewing videos and movies in full HD. The device shows off a lightweight form factor that tips the scales at 18.2 ounces with a 1.5GHz dual core processor onboard. Additionally, it tags along 1GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of built-in storage.

Just like the Nook HD, the overall hoarding capacity here can be further stretched up to 64GB using the embedded microSD card slot. Other features common to aforementioned tablet include a set of headphones, in-built speakers, SRS TruMedia, Nook Cloud and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.

This tablet enables users to stream and download a host of content including HD movies and TV shows, owing to the all-new Nook Video highlight. Needless to say, customers will be able to pick up books from all genres through the Nook store. Attributes like the Nook Newstand and Catalog are added to the mix as well. On a full charge, the device offers roughly 10 hours of reading or 9 hours of video playback without Wi-Fi connectivity.
