Music enthusiasts can learn new steps to move and trip the light fantastic this spring. Verizon Wireless users can use their Droid by Motorola devices to tune in to the new music apps. These music-based apps run on the most reliable wireless voice and 3G data network in the country.

This week’s highlighted music applications in the Verizon Channel in Android Market include – iheartradio, TuneWiki Social Media Player and Slacker Radio.

With Clear Channel Radio’s iheartradio app, music maniacs can lend an ear to over 400 of America’s favorite radio stations and some of the best talk stations in the United States for free. Users can bookmark their favorite radio stations, view lyrics and enjoy on-demand content including exclusive performances, songs and intimate vignettes from today’s hottest music stars.

Users can listen to their music, watch music videos, or stream songs through the Shoutcast radio feature of TuneWiki app. The free app allows users to search for lyrics to over 2.5 million songs and get translations in over 40 languages. Other noticeable features include the Playback Widget and Facebook and Twitter integration.

Further, with Slacker Radio, users can get free personalized radio on their mobile phone. Stepping in as a great way to discover new artists and hear favorite songs, the app lets users create their own custom station. In addition, listeners can choose from over 100 expert-programmed radio stations from every genre.
