Feel like getting closer to Tiger Woods or Lorena Ochoa? Or simply want to enjoy the club-and-ball sport for fun? New independent iPhone game publisher has recently released an all-new game app, GeoPlay Golf, for iPhone users.

The recently unveiled app utilizes the GPS capabilities of a phone to create virtual golf courses based on the players’ real world coordinates. Using the iPhone’s motion sensor, players actively use their real golf swing through grass, traps and water hazards on traditional or themed courses for instant entertainment on the go.

Players can create a course around their house, at the office, or on a real golf course. The GeoPlay Golf enables users to customize their course with up to 18 holes, and create a virtual tee and hole locations using real space. There are five virtual world courses including traditional and fantasy options such as the moon, a snow village and a beautiful farm with 15 course choices.

“By encompassing the motion sensor and GPS capabilities, GeoPlay Golf lets players take full advantage of the gadget fun their iPhone offers,” stated Matthew Cooke, head caddy at 10and2.

The game analyzes swing strength using the device’s accelerometers and ball directions on three planes, calculating length of shot as well as hook or slice, allowing users to swing the phone like a club. Apart from this, it saves users’ game so they can take calls and not worry about losing their place.

Further, the game app uses a 3D game engine to show players the golf course while interconnecting with the GPS and accelerometers. In addition, the app features Google Maps to offer users accurate view of their golf course.

The GeoPlay Golf is available for download on the App Store.
