A recent announcement by Gameloft revealed a licensing agreement with Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group to develop and publish the official mobile game of the upcoming movie Death Race. Gameloft is ready to begin the race with preloaded weapons and drivers.

Derived from the movie’s alarmingly unpleasant imaginary world, the extreme mobile racing game encloses a highly intense racing competition. The dystopian world is further characterized by murderous prisoners as contestants. Armed to the teeth with different play styles, users can zoom in one of the film’s seven “Steel Beasts”. Running a gauntlet of challenges ranging from “Race”, “Rampage”, “Eliminator”, “Shooter” and “Boss Battles”, gamers can shield up and throttle down for the game’s five-episode “Story Mode”. The fast paced game is a perfect blend of racing and shooting also featuring a “Single Race Mode” which when unlocked empowers players to boom through all of the Death Race tracks and challenges.
