The Dash iPhone car stereo recently made it out of the cupboard. This device can be attached inside a vehicle and gives users access to all the functions of the Apple smartphone.

Dash almost instantly starts charging the iPhone when it gets connected to the smartphone. The faceplate is an interchangeable component made out of plastic and CNC’d aluminum. It attaches to the inserted gadget through the integrated neodymium magnets and is capable of not interfering with GPS signals. iPhones with bumper cases can also be securely placed inside the faceplate.

The peripheral’s body is basically a box-like form which has to be attached to the car in place of where the stereo system is situated. It plays out music with the incorporated speakers operating on 4 x 50w and shows two preamps running at 2V, a front and rear/sub.

Owners of this device do not require to depend CDs, chargers and FM transmitters as it is capable of carrying out the stipulated functions. So there’s no need to deal with a heap of different gadgets. A variety of radio stations can be accessed through internet streams with this system which also serves as a music player.

Engadget, which noticed this device on OhGizmo!, reports that the Dash iPhone car stereo price reads $60 and it can now be pre-ordered online at kickstarter.com. Being a Kickstarter project, it will obviously need a certain amount of backers before moving into production.
