Cricket Communications, a provider of unlimited wireless services has announced the world’s first CDMA Advanced Wireless Services mobile phone called the UTStarcom CDM7126.
The UTStarcom CDM7126 handset has a sleek metallic clamshell form factor. It has external indicators which alerts the user of incoming calls and messages without the need for them to open the phone at all.
Further, the phone’s full-color internal display provides optimal viewing of incoming calls, messaging alerts, games and other data applications.
The UTStarcom CDM7126 also offers Bluetooth, along with other features like voice recognition, predictive text input for easy text messaging. Moreover, it supports Cricket Mobile Web for browsing and downloading ringtones and graphics.
Cricket is now providing unlimited wireless calling with plans starting as low as $35 per month. In fact, Cricket’s highest plan costs just $60 which includes unlimited anytime minutes, unlimited US domestic long distance, free text/picture messaging, voice mail, calledID, call waiting, three-wating, three-way calling and 200 nationwide roaming minutes monthly.
