Clove offering Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S in the UK

Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S is now being offered by the UK retailer Clove. The Android version 2.3 Gingerbread powered smartphone was first seen at the IFA 2011 in Berlin.

Primarily differing from its predecessor, the arc, owing to its 1.4GHz processor which is claimed to deliver 25 percent better performance, the arc S is being offered by Clove as a SIM-free, unlocked phone. It features a 4.2-inch shatter-proof, scratch resistant glass with Sony Reality Display and Mobile BRAVIA Engine.

Also, an 8.1MP camera is embellished with Sony’s EXMOR R technology and other features like f/2.4 aperture, LED flash, smile and face detection, image stabilizer, auto focus, geo-tagging and red eye reduction. It offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS, DLNA and Bluetooth. For this smartphone, the Sony entertainment network offers direct access to its Music unlimited and Video unlimited features.

Needless to say, the Gingerbread operating system allows access to a virtually vast spread Android Market, Gmail, YouTube, Maps, Navigation and more. Apart from this, Clove also highlights easy syncing with iTunes. The colors available are pure white and midnight blue.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S is being offered in the United Kingdom by Clove for a price of £349.99, inclusive of VAT. Surprisingly, these prices are comparatively lower to what the arc is being offered by the retailer. Available now for pre-order, first shipping for the arc s begins on September 26. The package comes with an 8GB microSDHC card and microUSB cable.
