After Keystone Eco NautiCase enclosed the iPhone 4 in its protective shield, there’s another company seeking to cater to a similar cause. The CKIE CalypsoCase aims to envelop iPhone, BlackBerry, HTC and Samsung phones.
The accessory weighs light enough to be ported around easily and is elegantly designed with well-sketched curves. Around the edges, it includes the handcrafted, U-shaped CalypsoRing made of materials like silver, black silver, gold or platinum. The cover is touted to be constructed from premium Italian leather which should assure an exterior that is soft to the touch.
The main purpose of protection is meted out through the strong and light titanium inner enclosure. A carefully designed inner fabric prevents the handset from sliding out. The case has a sleek look with a slight glint that strives to make it a suitable companion for a phone and also compliment the user’s style.
The case is ready to cover iPhone 3G, 3GS, and 4 along with the BlackBerry Torch, Curve, Bold and Tour. It can even be put to use by HTC Sensation, Incredible S, Desire HD, and Desire S users as well as Samsung Nexus S, Galaxy S and Omnia II owners.
The cases have not entered production phase as yet. $200 will fetch backers a nice combo of the CalypsoCase and CrystalDock. The backing period will close on June 30 and customers will be notified thereafter.
