The Celkon A8+ has been officially launched in India and yet, the company has refrained from revealing various essentials of the smartphone. The handset still hasn’t landed into any of the online shopping thresholds and we will have to wait for Celkon itself to disclose all that is there to learn concerning the device’s availability.
From whatever has been told for now, we can say that the the Celkon A8+ shows off a capacitive touch display which measures 3.5 inches diagonally. In this time and age when even low-end smartphone manufacturers prefer the Android Jelly Bean OS, it settles for a scoop of Ice Cream Sandwich and we doubt there is an upgrade around the corner.
Just like the smartphone dubbed A9+ which was introduced last month, the Celkon A8+ in question relies on a 1GHz processor. In fact, there are very few aspects where the handset deflects from the former. For instance, they are both embedded with a similar 2MP camera. We know that the concerned device is fitted with a front-mounted snapper, but nothing has been revealed about its sensor as yet.
Additional attributes of the smartphone which the OEM highlights include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a gravity sensor. Disappointingly, nothing in terms of the inbuilt memory or even the expandability options has been mentioned. It is true that a 1,500mAh battery keeps the Celkon A8+ up and about, but what is still under wraps is the information with respect to operation time derivable from the power pack.
As for the apps, users could look forward to pre-loaded utilities such as My Mango which delivers news about anything to do with entertainment and YuppTV that eliminates the absence of a television set while on the go. Another app to keep an eye out for is Opera Mini.
Amongst the missing spaces on the the A8+ handset list of information, are the phone’s price and release date. But whenever we spot the device in the market, it will be tagging along a complimentary back cover, says the manufacturer.
