CareerBuilder pulls out its latest app to reduce the hassles of looking for a job. The UK based company has released an all new free app entitled Jobs by CB, facilitating its users to search for jobs on the move. The application has been designed for the iPhone.
Leveraging on the iPhone’s built-in geolocation technology, the app instantly figures out the location of job seekers and enables them to hunt for a job with a simple keyword search. Users can straightaway apply for jobs through the CareerBuilder application on their iPhones.

Our new app brings a new level of convenience to iPhone and iPod touch users by furnishing the ability to search for jobs on the go anywhere, anytime.”
The user has to create an account through the Jobs by CB app and upload or create a new CV. They can look for jobs by a keyword, location or company search. The job search can be enhanced by narrowing down the search to either the exact name of the employer desired, or the maximum desired distance from the specified location. It can be further narrowed down to the type of employment required by the seeker like full-time, part-time, intern, contractor, seasonal, etc.
The search results are directly shown on a map in relation to the user’s current location. Users can email themselves the jobs they have selected or mark them as ‘favorites’ for quick reference. The app also endows the user to browse recommended jobs and check out job application history.
The Jobs by CB app is configured for the iPhone and is provided free of cost, although the application’s availability remains undeclared.
