The Canon PowerShot G16 compact camera has arrived in India and the makers of the device are now selling it in the country for a price of Rs 34,995. Like most of the new generation imaging gadgets, the Canon contender boasts of Wi-Fi sharing capabilities and can even communicate with Android and iOS smartphones or tablets with a little assistance from a dedicated application.
This shooter comes packed within a chassis measuring 108.8 x 75.9 x 40.3 millimeters and weighing 314 grams. A 12.1MP CMOS sensor has been integrated in it and it has 5x optical zoom as well as 4x digital zoom for capturing objects clearly from a distance. Featuring both TTL auto focus and manual focus, the Canon snapper brings a real image zoom viewfinder too.
A TFT color LCD of 3 inches rests on the rear side and boasts of a wide viewing angle. It helps compose shots and preview captured images as well as videos. The ISO sensitivity of the camera ranges anywhere between 80 and 12800 and you get the option to control the exposure.
