Few decades back, Landline phones were considered to be a matter of prestige and class, then came an era where the phones had become a necessity to each household, but now we have reached that stage, where landline phones are slowly fading away from our desks. Mobile phones have replaced the traditional old landline phones and we welcomed the age of mobile phones.

Now after all the phases that have passed, BSNL has returned back with an enticing offer for their customers hailing from UP, India. The new scheme proposed by BSNL offers a landline telephone at just Rs. 20 installments per month. The scheme will extend only to the rural parts of Uttar Pradesh though. Although Mobiles may have taken over landline phones, yet there are many people in rural areas in India who rely entirely on a landline telephone.

Another option BSNL offers is a payment of Rs 200 at one time eliminating the monthly charge. With the offer, customers can also avail 20 free calls per month. With Bollywood star Preity Zinta endorsing the brand further, BSNL sure hopes to make it big in the landline telephone section.
