A new Android smartphone that is all set to soon hit the marquee, quite literally, is the Boost Mobile LG Marquee which has been endowed with a launch date of January 23. It will be accompanied by the company’s contract-less $55 Android Monthly Unlimited plan with Shrinkage which includes unlimited nationwide talk, text messaging, web, email and calls to 411.

Previously available exclusively through Sprint, this LG handset comes embedded with a 4-inch 700-nit Nova touchscreen display. It boasts of a 2MP secondary snapper and a 5MP primary camera featuring autofocus, 3x zoom and 720p video recording capabilities.

Powered by a 1GHz processor, the GPS-enabled smartphone offers users 6.5 hours of continuous talk time. Running on Android 2.3, it possesses 4GB of internal memory which owners can expand up to 32GB by inserting a microSD card. Furthermore, the mobile device lets users gain easy access to the vast Android Market and Google applications like Gmail and Google Talk.

The Boost Mobile LG Marquee will begin retailing from January 23 for a price of $280 through the company’s stores across USA as well as online at boostmobile.com.
