Blio e-reading software app for iPhone declared

Blio Logo Blio e-reading software app made its debut on the iPhone a few days back. This app was earlier released for the Windows operating system and has been preloaded on numerous netbooks, mobile devices, laptops and tablets supporting the Windows system.

Presented for the iOS platform by Baker & Taylor and K-NFB Reading Technology, the app includes numerous books on varied topics such as lifestyle, travel, children, cookery, textbooks etc. Existing users of the Blio e-reading software app can read all its books on the iPhone by simply downloading it from the App Store.

“Making Blio available on these Apple devices was a promise to readers that we are excited to keep, and we will continue to work with mobile carriers and device manufacturers to offer the best reading experience to as many people as possible. The flexibility and choice to read on multiple devices, coupled with ease of use, are important to us and we are excited to see how Blio continues to transform the way readers engage with books,” commented Bob Nelson, President of Baker & Taylor’s Digital Group.

Members of Blio who had previously bought books from its store will automatically find them in their Blio library on the iPhone. Books supporting this application supposedly look like their real counterparts with a full-color printed layout and provide a personal experience to its readers.

Ray Kurzweil, world-renowned inventor and founder of K-NFB Reading Technology opined, “Blio brings books to life by offering the most engaging, flexible and interactive reading experience you can find enabling readers to engage with their passions in a whole new way. And, it allows readers to take their libraries with them wherever they go. Now they can carry Blio across their devices, from desktops and laptops to smartphone and tablets, for a seamless experience.”

The books feature a professional Read Along functionality which impoves the reading exercise. Readers are enabled to highlight, insert page notes and browse the web from within their books.

Blio e-reading software app can be downloaded for free from the App Store or online at Blio.com.
