BlackBerry Z3 to launch in India on June 25, more smartphones to follow

We’ve been patiently awaiting the BlackBerry Z3’s launch in India and it’s finally happening as the company plans to unveil the smartphone tomorrow for under Rs 14,000. The device has already been put up for sale in Indonesia where it has been well-received.

India is the second country on the roster and the BlackBerry Z3 is expected to sell quite well considering that the company will price it aggressively to compete with local OEMs. Also, the company has a huge fan base present here. And to top things off, the device will be the cheapest option in the BB10 all-touch series. Along with the latest OS, the phone comes with a 5-inch qHD display and a 1.2GHz dual core processor. There’s also 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a 5MP rear camera and a 2500mAh battery onboard.

Clearly, the Indian market is one of the most important for BlackBerry and the company isn’t going to stop with the Z3. The Q20 Classic is expected to show up in the coming months and we might even see the recently showcased Passport phablet arrive by the end of 2014. The two phones are both QWERTY. The first one has a traditional design with the back and menu keys as well as the optical trackpad, while the latter phone has a large display with a small 3-row keyboard and high-end hardware.
