BlackBerry Z10 available through Best Buy in the US for just $49

It looks like there are not many takers for the BlackBerry Z10, because Best Buy in the US has reduced the price of the device to merely $50 with a two-year contract apparently to attract customers. The variants of the BlackBerry smartphone available through carriers like Verizon Wireless and AT&T are the ones which are available for discounted prices.

Crackberry who highlighted the price cut, also reveals that AT&T is offering the device for $99.99 with trade-in schemes through its official website and retail stores. It should be noted that only the two aforementioned carriers have reduced the rates of the handset, the T-Mobile version continues to sell for $199.99 on contract.

Those who are contemplating picking up the BlackBerry Z10 should take a look at its specifications. The BB 10 OS-based smartphone provides a multi-touch real estate of 4.2 inches and renders visuals in 1280 x 768p resolution. Featuring 16GB of onboard memory, it gives users an option of expanding it further by up to 32GB using a microSD card.

The BlackBerry Z10 is capable of supporting multiple applications at the same time, thanks to its dual core 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor which works in conjunction with 2GB of RAM. It draws power from a 1800mAh battery that claims to cough up talk time of about 10 hours. And as for the cameras, the phone has an 8MP snapper on the rear side and a 2MP one on the front.

In order to buy the Z10 for the slashed rate of $49.99 with a two year contract and qualifying data plans, prospective customers in the US will have to purchase it through Best Buy.
