After the launch of the RIM Blackberry Tour 9630 by Sprint, the phone will now be introduced in Canada starting July 15, 2009 onwards through Telus. According to Unwired View, the handset will also be launched by Verizon.

The handset is built with a 2.44”, 480 x 360 pixels TFT display with 65k colors. It offers a talk time of 5 hrs and standby time of around 14 days. It provides a full HTML web browser and also supports DataViz Documents to Go. The dimensions of the phone are 112 x 62 x 14.2 mm and it weighs 130 g.

The mobile device supports Dual-band CDMA/EVDO Rev A (800/1900 MHz) and also Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). Moreover it is geared with 2100 MHz UMTS/HSPA. It sports a 35-key QWERTY keyboard. Further the phone supports 256MB internal flash memory and also offers microSD card up to 32GB. It encompasses a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera with image stabilization, flash and video recording.

The mobile phone features music and video players along with 3.5 mm headset jack. Additionally it offers Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. It also facilitates GPS / A-GPS and also BlackBerry Maps.

The handset is priced at $249.99 along with a 3-yr contract agreement and a voice & data plan worth $35. The package which does not include the voice & data plan costs $449.99. Without the contract the handset is offered at $649.99.
