BlackBerry Classic finally outed with QWERTY keyboard and old-school trackpad in tow

The BlackBerry Classic is likely to make you nostalgic, yet provide you with all the features you’d expect today’s smartphones to offer in the form of a touchscreen display, modern hardware, the latest BB software and more. This phone was already available for pre-order, but has now been released by the Canadian company with its price set at $449.99.

That amount converts to around Rs 28000, which is approximately how much you can keep aside if you want to purchase it once it arrives in India. The BlackBerry Classic is given the old school charm by its incorporation of the trademark physical keyboard, a trackpad and the familiar navigation keys.

It comes equipped with a 3.5-inch 720p touchscreen display that’s covered with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3. Present inside it is a 1.5GHz dual core processor that’s backed by 2GB of RAM. While 16GB of storage is provided with it by BlackBerry, there’s even a microSD card slot on offer for further expansion up to 128GB.

The Classic has been fitted with an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front snapper. It runs the BB 10.3.1 OS which gives it the ability to support Android apps via the Amazon Appstore.
