Blackberry Kictsart 8220,SeaWolf 8210We guess the highly anticipated RIM BlackBerry 8220 and 8210 are nearing their launch. With no official word by RIM, online retailer Expansys has posted a pre-order page for the new handsets. The clamshell smartphones go by the codename of KickStart and SeaWolf.

The devices are apparently light weight and feature two screens; an internal 240×320 pixels screen and an external 160×128 pixels screen. While the BlackBerry Kickstart 8210 will offer GPS navigation courtesy of BlackBerry Maps, the BlackBerry SeaWolf 8220 should sport Wi-Fi connectivity. The handsets boast of a full HTML browser that is apparently capable of viewing both desktop and mobile versions of web sites with promised zoom options.

The appearance of The BlackBerry Kickstart 8220 and SeaWolf 8210 reveal a quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and Bluetooth 2.0. The phones should also sport a microSD card slot for ample storage, SureType keypads, 2-megapixel autofocus cameras and a media player capable of audio and video playback along with a 3.5mm audio port for easy enjoyment of your music. The smartphones extensively support email and instant messaging. Both models are powered by 900 mAh battery, data cable, charger and a stereo headset in the sales package.

While there is no word on the price yet, the BlackBerry Kickstart 8220 and SeaWolf 8210 should start shipping around Q4 of 2008.
