Bell to launch Palm Pre on August 27

Bell Palm Pre The latest handset in Bell’s kitty is the Palm Pre. According to I4U, the Palm Pre will soon be available in Canada, with its launch date being set for August 27. It will be sold by Bell Mobility Network, in its bid to outdo its competitor Rogers Wireless.

The Palm Pre is an amazing smartphone that has helped turn around the struggling Palm company. It has experienced good sales in the US after its launch in June. It features 3G voice and data capabilities. The handset comes equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard and sports a 3.1 inch touchscreen display. It possesses WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity features. Users can click crisp images, thanks to the 3MP camera with LED flash. Furthermore, the smartphone has 8GB of on-board storage space.

This device will be available for CAD $199.95 or around $187 USD on a three-year contract. It is also available for $599.95 with no contract and a minimum data plan of 500MB/month. Pre-orders are currently being accepted online and at Bell stores.
