The Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet and Color are now available at refreshed prices starting at $179 and $149, respectively. Released in time for the back to school season, both devices are up for grabs through the company’s retail outlets and online store.

Available in 8GB and 16GB versions, the 7-inch tablet supports memory expandability up to 32GB via the embedded microSD slot. While the former is equipped with 512MB RAM, while the latter packs in 1GB RAM. In terms of battery life, the device is capable of delivering up to 11.5 hours of reading or 9 hours of video playback. Games such as Angry Birds and Words With Friends are included too.

Next up is the Color which like the above mentioned device, flaunts the same 7-inch VividView touchscreen. The Comics app provides a host of Marvel graphics novels, while Netflix can be accessed for movies and TV shows. Users can always opt to expand the internal memory of the slab up to 32GB through a microSD card. Both devices arrive with access to over 2.5 million books, magazines, comics and more.

As mentioned above, the Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet price amounts to $179 for the 8GB version and $199 for the 16GB one. Potential buyers can pick up the Nook Color at a cost of $149.
