The Barnes & Noble Nook Simple Touch and Nook Simple Touch GlowLight have hit availability status in the UK. Both these devices are up for grabs via the company’s online store as well as through various retailers like John Lewis, Argos, Dixons, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and others.
First up is the Nook Simple Touch that features a 6-inch touch panel, said to be the world’s most advanced E-ink Pearl display. This screen comes with up to 7 adjustable font sizes and 6 customizable font styles. It can render visuals with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. Users can expect up to 2 months of run time on a single complete charge (with Wi-Fi off), based on half an hour of daily reading. The slab is equipped with 2GB of internal memory that can hold up to 1000 books and can be further expanded up to 32GB through a microSD card slot.
Next up is the 6-inch Nook Simple Touch GlowLight that’s capable of delivering over 1 month of battery life on a single charge with the light turned on and Wi-Fi switched off. The run time can stretch up to 2 months without the use of the light. Just like the device mentioned above, it too can hoard up to 1,000 books with 2GB of internal memory. There’s even a built-in microSD card slot for additional 32GB of storage. For purchasing a wide-range of books, users can always log in to the company’s store through Wi-Fi.
The price for the Nook Simple Touch amounts to £79, while the Nook Simple Touch GlowLight can be picked up at £109.
