Bang & Olufsen Play BeoPlay A9 brings wireless connectivity and portability together

The Bang & Olufsen Play BeoPlay A9 will soon hit stores with a design that’s said to offer a room-filling music experience. This device is the latest addition to the company’s wireless speaker portfolio and is capable of streaming music through AirPlay or DLNA.

On the technical front, it comes with a 2.1 bass reflex loudspeaker system which consists of five dedicated speaker units and amplifiers that add to the overall experience. Apart from these, the device touts two tweeters that measure less than an inch as well as a pair of 3-inch midrange components. All four parts are powered by dedicated 80-watt class D amplifiers. There’s even a tweaked DSP that offers the Adaptive Bass Linearization technology.

The company has included an 8-inch bass unit in addition to three fixed sound settings for adjusting the output depending upon the placement of the speaker. For instance, users can switch between modes to suit their requirements when the device is mounted on a wall, positioned in the corner or kept freestanding. And since we are speaking of the sound system’s portability factor, customers ought to know that the wooden legs are detachable.
