Rovio has ended the wait for fans by unveiling its upcoming title and announcing the Angry Birds Star Wars release date for November 8. That’s not all; the game will be available for a number of platforms including iOS, Android, Mac, PC, Windows Phone 8 and even Windows 8.
From what the developer has to say, this crossover will be a mishmash of the fun seen in various versions of the Angry Birds franchise without leaving out on the Space edition. And like we reported earlier, these birds will be cast in iconic roles from Star Wars with the gameplay and settings taking their cue from the celestial fantasy. Well, Rovio is yet to spill the beans on the exact casting, but the image does provide some hints on what to expect.
The company seems to have taken up new market strategies for this particular title as it plans to go official about a massive retail launch sometime soon. Moreover, these merchandise items will range from Halloween costumes and apparels to action figures and collectible plush toys. They will be available for purchase almost a week before the game launches, that is on October 28.
Like we mentioned above, the release date for the Angry Birds Star Wars crossover has been scheduled for November 8.
